Ultramarine blue is a synthetic blue pigment. Chemically, it is a sodium aluminium sulfosilicate. This pigment has a unique clean and lively shade of blue. Because of its color is very applicable as bleach and neutralizer of yellow shades and as such is widely used in paints, plastics, rubber, paper, and in the chemical industry.
It is a harmless pigment whose safety is beyond doubt. Approved by all standards, and as such it can be used in making packaging for food, toys and in the production of cosmetics.
